MISSION STATEMENT Doulos Ministries, Inc. exists to disciple train and place Christian servant-leaders to disciple youth and families. At TSTL this is achieved through training leaders from the inner city – for the inner city. DESCRIPTION Throughout the difficult journey of life, Christ is the compass by which inner city pastors and ministry leaders guide their flock. When alcohol, drugs, teen pregnancy, violence, hunger and neglect are common occurrences, discouragement can easily cause a young person to derail and stray from the course. For the men and women who have made it their life’s work to serve in America’s inner cities, The Sky’s The Limit (TSTL) is one more way to offer the hope of Christ to their youth. The Sky’s The Limit’s mission is to partner with existing urban churches and ministries with the two-fold purpose of providing leadership training and paid summer jobs to indigenous teens, while offering youth ages seven to 14 an alternative to the streets through a free Christ-centered day-camp experience. The Sky’s The Limit is training leaders from the inner city – for the inner city. By promoting experienced youth from among the staff to leadership positions, they see the potential they have in Christ coming to fulfillment. As a result, children from varied races, backgrounds and circumstances who attend camp have found Christ in the face and hearts of their teen leaders. All those involved in TSTL see that Taking God’s Course has eternal benefits – The Sky’s The Limit. SUMMERTIME The Sky’s The Limit provides paid summer employment for inner city teens, a free day camp for seven to 14 year olds in a safe environment away from the streets and opportunities for suburban volunteers to serve in urban ministry. SCHOOL YEAR The Sky’s The Limit’s Year Round Program is spent in discipleship relationships and Biblical training, headed by an Inner City Director employed by Doulos Ministries, Inc.
