Hiring youth recommended by church and ministry partners
to
lead the camp. Counselors are 15 to 18 year olds and are hired
to lead
under veteran Counselors who are now part of the Camp
Leadership Team. A few
exceptional 14 year-old youths are
hired each summer and considered
in-training as Junior
Counselors, |

Utilizing church volunteers, from across the country to
participate
in TSTL as special mission partners, |

Offering campers three, two-week sessions beginning in
June and
concluding the first week of August, |

Training all staff during a week-long Staff Orientation
course
prior to the start of camp sessions. In addition, Leadership
Staff
attend an additional week of training and preparation prior to
Staff Orientation, |

Providing transportation for campers each day, a key element
to the success
of the program. Many of the youth would not be able to attend if
transportation were not provided to-and-from the camp, |

Providing breakfast, hot lunches, and sack lunches for occasional
field
trips. Many campers arrive at camp hungry for encouragement, but
also for a good meal, and |

Presenting the Gospel to the entire camp each day in “Club” – a
time of singing, skits, prayer, and a gospel message
with an invitation
given by guest speakers. |
